My brother @savbrown is a keen amateur photographer. The above montage is a collection of some of his work which often draws inspiration from his travels and above all the local countryside. The attempt at a “U2esque” cover shot is “yours truly” by the Brandenburg Gate, Berlin.
The Psalmist loudly proclaims that all of us, all of us I repeat, are shaped in the image of a Creator God (Imago Dei)…
Psalm 139:
“For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.”
Creativity is an expression of the “Divine.”
So, are we all to become photographers? Bloggers? Novelists? Artists? Dancers? Sure. For some.
Creativity may also include raising children to the best of your ability. Managing to find a work/life balance. Looking after elderly parents. Volunteering for a local charity. Living your best life despite the headwinds. Enjoying a hobby. Building community. Everyday creative responses amidst the stressors of the Covid pandemic.
Being “creative” is an everyday reality even when we feel the spark has long been extinguished.
Draw from the deep well of creativity that makes you who you are. You are fashioned in the image of the Creator.
